Five active ingredients — five brightening mechanisms in one face wash:

Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C 2%):

A stable vitamin C derivative that converts to active ascorbic acid in the skin — inhibiting tyrosinase, providing antioxidant activity, and brightening existing dull surface cells during the 60-second contact time before rinsing. The stable SAP form maintains its activity in the gel formula without the oxidation risk that L-Ascorbic Acid faces in cleansing formulations.

Alpha Arbutin:

A tyrosinase inhibitor that targets melanin production through a complementary pathway to vitamin C — inhibiting the enzyme at a different binding point. Combined with vitamin C, it provides more thorough tyrosinase inhibition than either ingredient achieves alone, even in the brief contact time of a rinse-off product.

Niacinamide:

Inhibits melanin transfer and supports barrier function. At the cleansing step, niacinamide adds the melanin transfer inhibition mechanism that vitamin C and alpha arbutin do not cover — reducing how much produced melanin becomes visible at the skin surface. Also supports the barrier integrity that consistent active ingredient use requires.

Licorice Extract:

A natural brightening and anti-inflammatory active that reduces redness, calms post-acne inflammation, and contributes to overall even tone. D-Panthenol (Vitamin B5):

How to use — important:

Apply to wet skin. Massage gently for 60 seconds before rinsing — this contact time is when the active ingredients work before washing away. Rinse with lukewarm water. Pat dry and follow immediately with the Vitamin C Serum or a moisturiser.
