10% Vitamin C Face Cream

SkinFactor's 10% Vitamin C Face Cream is a multi-active brightening moisturiser that delivers vitamin C treatment at the moisturising step — extending the brightening routine through the final skincare layer before SPF. The formula combines four brightening and skin-evening actives in a lightweight cream base formulated for daily morning use in Pakistan's climate.

Why this cream uses Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate:

L-Ascorbic Acid — the form used in SkinFactor's 10% Vitamin C Serum — is highly effective but unstable in cream formulations. It oxidises rapidly when combined with the emulsifying ingredients that give creams their texture, degrading from active to inactive long before the product reaches your skin. Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP) is a stable vitamin C phosphate ester that converts to active ascorbic acid in the skin. It maintains its activity throughout the cream's lifespan and is significantly gentler — making it appropriate for skin types that find the low-pH L-Ascorbic Acid serum mildly irritating. The serum delivers the primary high-concentration vitamin C dose. This cream delivers stable, sustained, gentler vitamin C coverage through the moisturising step.

Four actives. Four mechanisms:

Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10%):

Stable vitamin C derivative that brightens skin tone, supports collagen synthesis, and provides antioxidant activity. Gentler than L-Ascorbic Acid with consistent daily delivery through the moisturising step.

Alpha Arbutin:

A glycosylated tyrosinase inhibitor that reduces melanin production through a complementary pathway to vitamin C — the combination addresses melanin formation more thoroughly than either ingredient addresses it alone. Particularly effective for the sun-induced dark spots and uneven tone that Pakistan's extreme UV conditions produce over time.

Niacinamide:

Inhibits melanin transfer — the movement of produced melanin from melanocytes to surrounding skin cells. Where vitamin C and arbutin reduce melanin production, niacinamide reduces how much of the melanin produced reaches the surface as a visible dark spot. Covers the consecutive step in the pigmentation pathway.

SPF is mandatory:

Vitamin C derivatives increase UV awareness during treatment.
