Winter Skincare Routine for Pakistan

Winter Skincare Routine for Pakistan

Winter Skincare Routine for Pakistan

Winter in Pakistan varies significantly by region — genuinely cold and dry in the north, milder but still lower-humidity elsewhere — but across the country, skin typically needs more hydration support than summer routines provide.

Why Winter Changes Skin's Needs

Lower ambient humidity combined with indoor heating pulls moisture from skin more aggressively than summer conditions. Oil production also typically decreases, which can create a false impression that skin needs less care overall — when in fact barrier support becomes more important, not less.

Morning Routine

If the Salicylic Acid Gel Cleanser starts to feel stripping as oil production naturally decreases, switch to the gentler Oat Extract Cleanser. Apply Hyaluronic Acid Serum to damp skin, then seal with the richer Ceramide Cream Moisturiser rather than a lightweight gel.

Evening Routine

Continue active ingredients like Vitamin C, Niacinamide, or Retinol as normal — winter doesn't require pausing these, only adjusting the supporting hydration and barrier steps around them. Follow with the same Ceramide Cream Moisturiser to lock in hydration overnight.

SPF Is Still Essential

Winter sun is consistently underestimated. UV exposure continues regardless of temperature, and skipping SPF because it "doesn't feel sunny" allows the same cumulative damage summer sun causes, just less noticeably in the moment.

Indoor Heating Adds Its Own Dehydration

Heated indoor environments, common in northern regions during winter, further reduce ambient humidity beyond what outdoor conditions alone would cause. If you're in a heated indoor environment for extended periods, this is worth factoring into how much hydration support your routine needs.

Common Winter Skin Complaints

Flaking, tightness, and increased sensitivity to previously well-tolerated active ingredients are all common winter changes. If a product that worked fine in summer starts causing irritation in winter, reducing frequency temporarily — rather than stopping entirely — while increasing barrier support usually resolves it.
